Jean Louise Finch nicknamed Scout is a young girl living in Maycomb County Alabama during the great depression. Scout lives with her brother Jem, her cook Calpurnia, and her father Atticus. In the story, Scout witnesses situations of poverty, racism, and the pains of just growing up. Along the way, Scout learns some valuable lessons and information that she would not have known otherwise. The story is filled with laughter, sadness, and many moral lessons.
